Julie Cantrell has loved and worked with dogs her entire life, and has been a professional dog trainer since 1990. She began as a full time trainer for a large Board and Train program in Washington state, working with all types of canine behavior issues. It was during that time, in 1994, that she integrated flower essences into her work with dogs. Since 1996 she has been a private trainer and behavior consultant in Washington, Pennsylvania, Montana, West Virginia, and now Oregon.

Julie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, with special interest in animal behavior and natural history, from the University of Washington in Seattle. She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) through the Certification Council For Professional Dog Trainers. Julie is a Professional Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and a Practitioner Member of the Flower Essence Society.

Julie and her husband moved to southwest Oregon in the fall of 2010, where she owns and operates Canine Behavior Services, a dog training and behavior consulting business that stresses trust, clear communication, and fair and reliable leadership. She lives with a very supportive husband and her indispensible Belgian Sheepdogs.
